Digital to Canvas
Class with Tom Brydelsky
Wednesdays, 12:30 - 2:30 pm (4 weeks)

Digital to Canvas

Photograph the museum grounds with an iPad Pro and create a digital diary of your journey. In the studio these images will be manipulated and printed to become part of a mixed-media collage. Learn iPad Pro camera capabilities and imaging techniques that can be applied to other personal smartphones and tablets. Participants will work with a variety of materials including glue, and original photographs printed in the studio.

No iPad experience necessary.

All skill levels welcome.

Materials included with the exception of canvases.


Tom Brydelsky’s mixed-media encaustic paintings are an investigation into the nature of perception, memory, and the living environment. He is among prestigious recipients to receive a 2017 Pollock-Krasner grant. His work has appeared in numerous publications as well as televised features on art and home décor. Tom has also served as a museum educator at The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Queens Museum of Art, The Hecksher Museum of Art and the Parrish Art Museum. His work is among many prominent public and private collections including the Ben Shahn Center Galleries, William Paterson University and the Hecksher Museum of Art.
